The Broncos script is important in BSU history as it was the design on their football helmets in the late 1990s when they joined the Big West Conference and moved up to Division I-A, now known as the FBS. It only took a couple of years for Boise State to get their footing before they won two Big West championships and two Humanitarian Bowls (both in 1999 and 2000) on their way to joining the Western Athletic Conference.
